Fall Crafts: Homemade Night Lights

Here's a fun craft that our kids from the PODER After School program made! An easy home made safe night light. The materials you'll need are:
-Colorful Tissue Paper
-Glue
-Paintbrushes
-Jars with lids
-Flameless tealight candles

First step is to cut different colored tissue papers into squares. Then squeeze some glue into cups, but dilute it with water. You should have a consistency of watery glue.

Second, grab some of your kiddos for the craft! Make sure all the jars have no lids. They can turn their jars upside down and spread the watery glue. Then they can stick the tissue paper squares overlapping it until they cover the jar (make sure not to cover the top part where the jar cap needs to be screwed on).

Last step is to wait for the jars to dry. Once they are dry, you can stick a flameless candle in the jar and turn it one. You can either keep the cap off or put it back on. Your homemade night lights are complete!
