Fall Crafts: Fall Crowns

An easy craft and perfect to celebrate Fall! Prior to the craft, we discussed with the kids what season was approaching and what they have observed that is different between summer and fall. All supplies can be purchased at a craft supply store or be found around your house! You will need:
-Large pieces of foam (preferably brown, tan, orange, or other fall neutral colors)
-Yarn
-Fake fall leaves
-Regular white glue
-Hot glue
-Hole punch
-Things to decorate your crown (buttons, glitter glue, feathers, sequins, markers, etc).

ADULT'S PART: Cut foam pieces. We folded the foam to where we could cut 3 strips from one large piece of foam. Hot glue two or more fall leaves in the middle of the strip of foam. Press down on the leaves to assure that they will stay. Wait until it is completely dry. Punch at least two holes on the two short sides of the foam strip. Attach string on all 4 holes.

CHILD'S PART: Decorate! Glue buttons, sequins, feathers, or whatever would make your crown represent Autumn. Wait until it is completely dry before asking an adult to help you put it on!
